President John Dramani Mahama has paid tribute to the late former Defence Minister, Hon. Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, describing him as a patriot whose life was defined by service, integrity, loyalty and sacrifice.
The President joined the Ghana Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence for the unveiling of a cenotaph in honour of the late Defence Minister, in a solemn ceremony dedicated to preserving his memory and celebrating his contribution to Ghana.

The ceremony also saw the launch of a Special Commemorative Edition of The Defender Magazine, dedicated to documenting the life, leadership and contributions of the late Defence Minister.

His legacy offers an important lesson at a time when public institutions require leaders who place national interest above personal gain and who understand leadership as a responsibility rather than a privilege.
