The Diaspora Affairs Office had the honour of hosting an all-female delegation of historic diasporans who are in Ghana ahead of the Presidential Conferment of Citizenship scheduled for next Monday. The visit was a heartfelt gesture of appreciation to the Government of Ghana for its continued commitment to reconnecting the African diaspora with their ancestral home. It was a powerful moment of reflection, pride, and a shared sense of belonging to the motherland.
The delegation was led by Erica Bennett, Founder of the Diaspora Africa Forum, whose years of advocacy have played a significant role in strengthening the bridge between Africa and its global family. Their journey toward citizenship represents not only a legal milestone but also a deeply symbolic cultural and spiritual homecoming.
Also present was Attorney Natalie Jackson, who will also be inducted on Monday and works closely with renowned civil rights attorney Ben Crump. As Ghana continues to lead the global conversation on diaspora engagement, moments like these reaffirm our nation’s commitment to unity, identity, and shared heritage.
