Ghana and Austria hold bilateral talks in promoting trade and tourism potentials.
Madam  Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, has welcomed a proposed non-binding Statement of Intent between Ghana and Austria as a significant step toward a formal Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen collaboration in tourism, culture and the creative arts.

During a meeting at the Ministry, the Austrian delegation, led by H.E. Josef Schellhorn and accompanied by Ambassador Jürgen Heissel, discussed priority areas including gastronomy, music, dance, tourism education and the wider creative economy.
The Minister highlighted investment opportunities in hospitality development, including plans for a world-class hospitality school and expanded MICE tourism infrastructure through strategic partnerships.
Both countries agreed in principle to establish a scholarship exchange programme to strengthen institutional and people-to-people ties. The Austrian side also announced the opening of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Accra as a collaborative platform to engage Ghanaian institutions across academia and the arts.
The engagement reaffirms Ghana’s commitment to cultural diplomacy and international partnerships that drive growth in tourism and the creative sector.
