Ghanaian music prodigy Erica Armah Bra-Bulu Tandoh, popularly known as DJ Switch, has added another remarkable achievement to her growing list of accomplishments.
Born in Dadieso, raised in Weija, Accra, and now pursuing her education in the United States, DJ Switch has graduated from Chaminade College Preparatory High School in Los Angeles, California.
Her journey is a powerful story of talent, determination, education and family support. She first captured national attention at just nine years old when she auditioned for Ghana’s Talented Kidz, mastering the DJ console and turntables in only five days. In 2018, she became the youngest winner of Ghana’s annual DJ award.
Since then, DJ Switch has taken her talent to some of the world’s biggest stages, performing at events connected to the African Union, World Bank, Women Deliver and the Gates Foundation, among others.
Beyond music, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and social impact. Inspired by her mother’s difficult childbirth experience, she has expressed an ambition to become a gynecologist, with the goal of helping make childbirth safer for women.
Her graduation marks another important chapter in an extraordinary journey that has taken her from a young girl in Ghana to an internationally recognised performer and now a high-school graduate in Los Angeles.
