Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has joined members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Muslim community in Kintampo in the Bono East Region for the party’s National Muslim Thanksgiving Prayers.

The prayer gathering, held during Friday’s Jummah prayers, brought together members of the party’s National Executive, party stalwarts and Muslim faithful to seek divine guidance for the party’s newly elected officers and the Republic of Ghana.

According to Dr Bawumia, prayers were offered for party officers elected at all levels, as well as for peace, unity and the wellbeing of the nation.

The gathering formed part of the party’s religious observances, bringing together its Muslim members to express gratitude and seek God’s guidance as the party begins a new phase under its elected leadership.

Dr Bawumia, the NPP’s flagbearer for the 2028 general elections, was accompanied by the party’s newly elected national leadership, led by National Chairman John Boadu. The service was organised to thank Allah for the peaceful conduct of the party’s National Delegates Conference and the election of new national executives.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Bawumia called for unity among party members following the internal elections, urging supporters at the grassroots to remain united and work together towards the party’s future political objectives.
He also expressed appreciation to the people of Kintampo and party supporters for their warm reception and hospitality during the visit.

The thanksgiving service formed part of Dr Bawumia’s engagements in the Bono East Region following the party’s national executive elections, providing an opportunity for reflection, prayer and renewed engagement with party members and the Muslim community.
