The UN Country Team, led by the Resident Coordinator, has held a productive engagement with the National Peace Council, Ghana, chaired by Most Rev. Emmanuel Kofi Fianu, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ho and the Vice President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference.

UN Resident Coordinator Mr. Zia Choudhury engages National Peace Council and other partners.The Peace Council presented its 2026 programme forecast, outlining key strategic interventions to strengthen social cohesion and sustain peace in Ghana. The UN Country Team found the plan highly valuable, offered useful inputs, and expressed keen interest in deepening engagement to explore areas of support and collaboration.
Both institutions will continue to leverage their technical capacities and comparative strengths to advance shared goals of peace, stability, and inclusive development in Ghana. #UNinGhana
