In line with the declaration by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, designating Friday, 10th July 2026 as a National Clean-Up Exercise Day under the theme, “Our Actions, Our Future: Cleaning Ghana After the Floods,” staff of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) undertook a comprehensive clean-up exercise within and around the Ministry’s premises.

Ministry of Gender Children and Social Protection joins in National Sanitation Excercise.The exercise brought together management and staff from the various directorates, departments and units of the Ministry, who actively participated in sweeping, desilting drains, collecting refuse and clearing weeds to improve sanitation around the Ministry’s environment.
The clean-up exercise forms part of the Government’s nationwide initiative aimed at restoring cleanliness in communities affected by recent floods while encouraging citizens to adopt responsible environmental sanitation practices. It also demonstrates the Ministry’s commitment to supporting national efforts to create a cleaner, healthier, and safer environment for all.
Addressing staff before the exercise, Director in charge of General Administration, Mr. Ebenezer Charway on behalf of the Chief Director of MoGCSP, Dr Marian W. A Kpakpah urged staff to embrace environmental cleanliness as a shared responsibility and not limit sanitation efforts to designated clean-up days.
Staff were encouraged to sustain good sanitation habits both at the workplace and in their respective communities
