On the sidelines of the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) in New York, Vice President of the ECOWAS Commission, H.E. Damtien Tchintchibidja, held a series of bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening partnerships and advancing regional priorities, from March 12 to 13, 2026.

Vice President Tchintchibidja met with H.E. Bineta Diop, co-founder of the African Women Leaders Network (AWLN), and H.E. Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations. The meetings focused on AWLN initiatives and strengthening collaboration between ECOWAS and the UN, reaffirming ECOWAS’ commitment to deepening strategic partnerships and advancing initiatives that promote inclusive leadership, regional stability and sustainable development.
