A solemn wreath laying ceremony was held at the Military Cemetery, Burma Camp, on Wednesday to mark the fifth anniversary of the passing of President Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings.
Officiated by Lt. Col (Rev. Father) Benjamin Kwesi Effah, the ceremony was attended by the children of the former President, the Head of the Agbotui Family, Colonel Joshua Agbotui, and some members of the nuclear family.
A wreath was laid on behalf of the family by the children.
Plans for a grand commemoration of the fifth anniversary have been placed on hold because of the sad loss of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, wife of President Rawlings on October 23, 2025.
The former President passed on Thursday November 12, 2020.
