Vice President of the Ghana Journalists Association, (GJA) Rebecca Ekpe said at the launch of a media guide on illicit financial flows, tax justice and domestic resource mobilization reporting in Ghana. The initiative was put together by the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), with funding support from OXFAM.
The media guide is a valuable resource for journalists, providing insights, tools, and best practices for investigating and reporting on these complex issues.
”GJA believes that, by empowering the media to shed light on illicit financial flows and tax justice, we can foster a more informed public discourse, promote accountability, and drive meaningful change”, she noted.
While commending the initiative, the Vice President entreated media practitioners to utilize the media guide on Illicit Finacial Flows to ”uncover the truth, expose wrongdoing, and give voice to the voiceless”, Madam Ekpe posited.

According to Madam Ekpe, it is known that Illicit financial flows and tax evasion deprive our country of vital resources, undermining our ability to fund essential public services and infrastructure.
