Ghana’s Parliament goes traditional on May Day

As part of this year’s May Day celebrations, the Parliament of Ghana embraced a vibrant display of cultural heritage, with staff adorned in traditional attire representing the nation’s diverse ethnic groups.
The event transformed the parliamentary precinct into a tapestry of Ghanaian culture, featuring traditional music, dance, and cuisine, reflecting the country’s rich traditions.
Speaker of Parliament, Alban S. K. Bagbin, commended the staff for their enthusiastic participation and emphasized the importance of preserving Ghanaian culture.
He urged all parliamentary staff to consistently promote Ghana’s cultural identity in their professional conduct, highlighting that such initiatives reinforce national pride and unity.
