President John Dramani Mahama has assured contractors executing projects under the government’s Big Push infrastructure programme that they will receive prompt payment once their work is completed, certified, and meets the required standards and timelines.
Speaking on the government’s commitment to infrastructure delivery, President Mahama said the necessary financial arrangements have been put in place to ensure that contractors are paid without undue delays.
He stressed that funding has been secured to meet the government’s obligations, adding that certified works will be honoured promptly to prevent the payment bottlenecks that have often affected public infrastructure projects.
The President noted that timely payment is crucial to sustaining contractor confidence, accelerating project completion, and ensuring the successful implementation of the Big Push initiative, which is aimed at improving the country’s infrastructure and driving economic growth.
