The visit will provide an opportunity for both institutions to exchange knowledge and experiences on key aspects of anti-corruption work, including investigations, prosecutions, corruption prevention, public education, and capacity building.

Discussions are also expected to focus on emerging trends and innovative approaches in anti-corruption efforts, particularly in asset recovery, financial investigations, intelligence gathering, and the application of Artificial Intelligence to support accountability and transparency initiatives. The two institutions will further explore strategies for addressing electoral corruption and strengthening governance systems.

According to the OSP, the engagement underscores the importance of regional collaboration in combating corruption and promoting integrity across Africa. It also offers a platform for deeper institutional partnerships and the sharing of practical lessons from both countries’ anti-corruption experiences.

Established in 1980, the Zambia Anti-Corruption Commission is one of Africa’s longest-serving specialized anti-corruption agencies and plays a central role in preventing, investigating, and combating corruption in Zambia.

The study visit is expected to enhance cooperation between the two institutions and contribute to broader regional efforts to strengthen accountability, transparency, and good governance.
