Ghana on Thursday observed the first anniversary of the tragic military helicopter crash of August 6, 2025, with a solemn National Inter-Faith Memorial Service in Accra, where President John Dramani Mahama led the nation in honouring the memory of the eight public servants who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The commemorative service brought together the country’s political leadership, security agencies, religious leaders, traditional authorities, members of the diplomatic community, and grieving families in a moment of reflection, prayer and national remembrance.

President Mahama paid tribute to the eight victims of the military helicopter crash, describing them as patriotic Ghanaians whose commitment to national service would remain an enduring source of inspiration.
