On 13 April 2026 in Cotonou, H.E. Sylvestre Ntibantunganya, former President of Burundi and Head of the African Union Election Observation Mission, convened a high-level debriefing bringing together international observer mission leaders following the presidential election.
The session provided a platform to share initial field observations, compare assessments, and identify key trends, fostering a coordinated understanding of the electoral process and post-election dynamics.
