The Western North Regional Peace Council successfully organized a stakeholder engagement on strengthening Community Safety and Vigilance at the Church of Pentecost.
The engagement brought together key stakeholders including the Ghana Police Service, The Church of Pentecost, traditional authorities, and media representatives to promote peace, security, and social cohesion within communities.

National Peace Council Engagements in Western North Region.Delivering a keynote address, Sheikh Osman Hashim Issa emphasized the critical role communities play in sustaining peace. He highlighted the importance of vigilance, early warning systems, and dialogue in preventing conflicts from escalating into violence.
Also speaking at the event, Rebecca Emefa Sedzro of the Ghana Police Service underscored the need for stronger collaboration between the police and communities. She noted that timely reporting of suspicious activities and open communication are key to preventing crime and ensuring public safety.
The programme reinforced the importance of collective responsibility, encouraging community members to actively participate in promoting peace, sharing information, and supporting conflict prevention efforts.
Through such initiatives, the Western North Regional Peace Council continues to strengthen partnerships and empower communities to build a more peaceful and secure society.
