Rachel Kakraba Wins Best Reporting in Features (Radio) at 29th GJA Awards, with a win adding to her growing reputation as one of Ghana’s outstanding voices in radio journalism, inspiring many young journalists to pursue impactful storytelling.

Rachel Kakraba, a distinguished broadcast journalist, shone brightly at the 29th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Media Awards held at the Manhyia Palace on Friday, November 8, 2025, as she walked away with the coveted award for Best Reporting in Features – Radio.
The seasoned journalist, known for her compelling storytelling and strong command of human-interest narratives, was honoured for a feature that demonstrated depth, clarity, and a powerful reflection of societal issues. Her award-winning piece was praised by the judges for its originality, impact, and the meticulous research that shaped the final production.

Receiving her award before His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and a hall filled with media professionals.
This year’s GJA Awards celebrated excellence across various categories, and Kakraba’s achievement underscored the vital role of radio features in shedding light on national issues and driving public conversation.
