The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) has held a staff durbar, bringing together Management and Staff for an engagement aimed at fostering team alignment and formally introducing the new Chief Director.

The session provided an opportunity for management and staff to interact, reaffirm institutional priorities, and collectively renew commitment to the Ministry’s mandate of promoting gender equality, child protection, and social development.


In her welcome address, the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, underscored the importance of teamwork and shared responsibility in achieving the Ministry’s objectives. She called on staff to fully support the new Chief Director, Dr. Marian W. A. Kpakpah, and work collaboratively to advance the Ministry’s vision.
The Minister emphasized that effective service delivery requires the active participation of all staff, noting that no individual should rely on others to carry the workload. She further encouraged officers to uphold professionalism, particularly in punctuality and attendance, in line with Civil Service regulations.
Reinforcing the Ministry’s core values, the Minister urged staff to embrace a culture of unity, forgiveness, and mutual respect, stressing that such values are essential to building a resilient and productive workforce. She reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to its “leave no one behind” agenda, calling for renewed energy and dedication towards improving the lives of women, children, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
On her part, the Chief Director, Dr. Marian W. A. Kpakpah, expressed appreciation for the warm reception and encouraged staff to remain committed to delivering impactful services. She highlighted the importance of efficiency, teamwork, and maintaining a welcoming and professional attitude in dealings with the public.
Dr. Kpakpah noted that collective effort and effective collaboration would be key to strengthening the Ministry’s operations and achieving its strategic goals.
The durbar also reinforced the need for strong internal communication, transparency, and accountability, while setting the tone for improved coordination and staff engagement across the Ministry.
An interactive session formed part of the engagement, allowing staff to share perspectives and contribute to discussions aimed at strengthening the Ministry’s work.
