On Tuesday, 24th February, 2026 the Chargé d’Affaires of Malaysia, Mr. Syed Nauzer Idid Bin Syed Yusoff Idid paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable James Gyakye Quayson (MP).
The discussions between the Deputy Minister and the Chargé d’Affaires centered on areas of cooperation which could further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Ghana and Malaysia.
The Deputy Minister highlighted Government initiatives aimed at improving the economy, creating employment opportunities for the youth, among others. He stressed the need for knowledge sharing in various sectors within the framework of South-South cooperation.
The Chargé d’Affaires congratulated the Deputy Minister on his appointment and recalled the relations between Ghana and Malaysia. He assured of the continuous commitment of Malaysia to collaborate with Ghana at both bilateral and multilateral levels.
