Ghana’s Vice President congratulates Namibia’s first female President

The global community is responding to the rise of women leadership in the world. Namibia made it in the news lately with a remarkable achievement of women raising.  Namibia becomes the first African country with both Female President and Vice President

On March 21, 2025, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah was inaugurated as Namibia’s first female president. In a further groundbreaking move, she appointed Lucia Witbooi as her vice president.
Ghana’s Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyeman witnessed the swearing in ceremony of Namibia’s President.
”I was honored to witness a historic moment in Namibia, as H.E. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah was sworn in as the country’s first female president”, the Vice President noted.
She said the Namibian President’s leadership is a testament to the strength, resilience, and determination of African women.
Professor Naana Jane wished the new President success during her tenure.
”May she continue to inspire men and women across the continent and prove that with courage and commitment, no dream is beyond reach”, she noted.
