President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday officially commissioned Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe as Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Ghana to the Kingdom of Spain, charging her to deepen bilateral ties and advance Ghana’s diplomatic and economic interests.

At a brief but significant ceremony at the Jubilee House, President Mahama underscored the importance of Ghana’s relationship with Spain, describing it as strategic in areas such as trade, tourism, migration cooperation, and cultural exchange. He expressed confidence in Mrs. Sinare Baffoe’s ability to represent Ghana with distinction, noting her wealth of experience, discipline, and public service.
“Your appointment comes at a time when Ghana is seeking to strengthen partnerships across Europe. Spain remains a key ally, and I am confident you will work to expand opportunities for our people and promote Ghana’s image abroad,” the President stated.

Mrs. Sinare Baffoe, a renowned figure in Ghana’s creative arts industry and a former diplomat, expressed gratitude to the President for the confidence reposed in her. She pledged to serve with dedication, integrity, and professionalism.
“I am deeply honoured by this appointment. I will work diligently to promote Ghana’s interests, strengthen our bilateral relations with Spain, and create opportunities for Ghanaians both at home and in the diaspora,” she said.
Her appointment is expected to further enhance cooperation between Ghana and Spain, particularly in the areas of investment, education, tourism, and cultural diplomacy.
Mrs. Sinare Baffoe has since assumed her post in Madrid , after completing the necessary diplomatic formalities.
