President John Dramani Mahama engaged citizens during the “Resetting Ghana” tour in the Bono Region, outlining key policy directions, ongoing projects and government’s commitment to accountability and inclusive development.

Addressing a cross-section of stakeholders, the President expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed that the tour is part of a deliberate effort to report back to the people and assess progress on critical national projects. He highlighted ongoing infrastructure works, including the Jinijini–Sampa Road, GETFund-supported developments at Sunyani Senior High School, and the rollout of 24-hour economy markets across districts.
President Mahama also emphasized reforms aimed at boosting development financing, including increased allocations to GETFund, the National Health Insurance Scheme, and District Assemblies. He commended Cassiel Ato Forson for his stewardship of the economy and noted that flagship programmes under the “Big Push” agenda are being funded through government resources.
On youth empowerment, the President encouraged entrepreneurship and skills development through initiatives such as Adwumawura and the National Apprenticeship Programme, urging young people to take advantage of emerging opportunities.
He concluded by calling for collective effort in building a stronger, more resilient, and inclusive Ghana.
