Ghana’s Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has held a meeting with the Women in Engineering Ghana, an inspiring group working to demonstrate the vital role women play in shaping Ghana’s development.

The Vice President thanked the Women in Engineering for their efforts and encouraged them to take the time to reflect, strategize, and rethink how we approach problems.
”National development requires us to conceptualize differently and to ensure that progress is inclusive”, the Vice President noted.
She commended the Association for its strong mentorship initiatives, which are helping to guide and support the next generation.
”I added that it was important to avoid the early compartmentalization of children into narrow disciplines. Instead, we must build a strong foundation through liberal education, equipping young people with critical thinking skills that allow them to adapt as the world and its demands evolve rapidly”.
She also highlighted the critical role women play in all sectors and stressed the need for women to make their voices heard, especially during policy formulation at every level.
”Fear must never be a barrier to participation or leadership. Our perspectives matter, and they must shape the decisions that affect our lives and our nation”, Vice President Opoku Agyemang reiterated.
Vice President Opoku Agyemang also spoke of the importance of language in education, noting that teaching in local languages enhances understanding by connecting learning to the child’s immediate environment.
This approach she said , ”strengthens comprehension and builds confidence at an early stage”.
