Media Monitoring Africa (MMA) led a consultation on behalf of the Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Expression and Access to Information in Africa, tied to the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) Resolution 630. These EU-supported consultations are central to developing robust, African-led approaches for platform accountability and information integrity.
Consultations create inclusive spaces for regulators, media, academia, and the public to help shape digital platform policies that protect fundamental rights and address harmful online practices. Dialogues ensure the UNESCO Guidelines reflect real regional needs.
