The Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Tourism Development Company, Kobby Mensah, has highlighted the government’s renewed commitment to repositioning the tourism sector. According to him, under the government’s resetting agenda, an investment platform has been established to identify and profile potential tourist sites across the country.
Speaking on GTV Breakfast Show, Mr. Mensah noted that the initiative is expected to attract investment, create jobs for the youth and provide economic opportunities for communities living around the sites.
Mr. Mensah also drew attention to a new website platform, designed to give stakeholders and the public access to information on potential tourist attractions. He explained that the platform would serve as a tool to project newly discovered tourist sites and channel them for possible investment.
