President Mahama engages Chiefs and people of Wa

President John Dramani Mahama has meet with the Chiefs and People of Wa in the Upper West Region, where he announced that contractors engaged under the Government’s Big Push infrastructure programme will receive 15 percent mobilization funds upfront and certificate raised for work done will be paid in two weeks.

According to the President, this payment structure is designed to eliminate delays in project execution and ensure accountability.

He emphasized that with this arrangement, no contractor will have an excuse for delaying projects awarded them.

President Mahama made the announcement while addressing chiefs and residents of the Upper West Region at the Jubilee Park in Wa.

He further revealed that 14 billion cedis has been allocated in this year’s budget to fund road construction and other key infrastructure projects across the country.
