World Earth Dat at Laboma Beach Accra, Ghana
In celebration of World Earth Day 2026, WUSC Ghana, in partnership with Kasa Initiative Ghana, Ghana Youth Environmental Movement, The Eblah Foundation, and the La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly, proudly joined hands to take meaningful environmental action through a Beach Clean-Up Exercise at Laboma Beach, Accra.
This initiative brought together passionate volunteers, especially youth and young women, committed to tackling marine pollution, promoting sustainable waste management practices, and protecting Ghana’s coastal fronts.
 Together, we achieved:
Collection of approximately 200–300 kg of waste from the beach
Promotion of responsible waste sorting and disposal practices
Increased environmental awareness and stewardship at the beach
Contributed towards SDG 13 (Climate Action) & SDG 14 (Life Below Water)
Aligned with Canada’s National Volunteer Week, this initiative highlights the power of collaboration across borders in driving local impact.
We extend our  appreciation to Global Affairs Canada for their continued funding to advancing environmental sustainability and youth empowerment
Our planet thrives when we act together.
