Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has commissioned the Pognaa Piirima Maaluma ICT Centre in Sankana, in the Nadowli-Kaleo District of the Upper West Region, as part of activities marking the Kalibi Ganlaa Festival.
Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has commissioned the Pognaa Piirima Maaluma ICT Centre in Sankana, in the Nadowli-Kaleo District of the Upper West Region.
The facility is expected to support schoolchildren and expand digital access within the community by providing shared access to computers, reliable internet connectivity, digital learning resources, as well as training and technical support services.
The Vice President emphasised that access to technology creates pathways to knowledge, broadens opportunities, and strengthens economic participation, noting that digitally connected communities are better positioned to compete, innovate, and thrive in a modern economy.
She conveyed Government’s appreciation to the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) for its efficiency, responsiveness, and commitment to inclusive national development. She also acknowledged the contributions of individuals and stakeholders whose time, expertise, and resources made the project possible.
