Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Edem Agbana celebrated his 35th Birthday during the week by giving back to pupils of Huive MA Basic School in the Volta Region. uniforms and footwear for each person from Kindergarten to Junior High School.
He tells a story that, ”on Wednesday, 23 October 2024, the pupils of Huive MA Basic School gave me a priceless gift: the gift of prayer, they prayed with me and for President Mahama to win the 2024 General Elections. It was a powerful and moving moment, one that has stayed with me, that same day, I noticed that many of the pupils had no shoes and no proper uniforms. It was impossible to ignore”.
So, he had to do the needful. Honorable Agbana said , this morning, as I marked my birthday, I returned to the school, with the support of my dependable friend, Obuobia Darko-Opoku, and the Soles of Hope (an NGO), we went back with purpose and with love, uniforms were sewn for every pupil from KG to JHS, each child also received a NEW pair of shoes, a NEW school bag, and five customized exercise books.
The Member of Parliament said, that that his way of creating a lasting memory that would propel the best in the pupils.
”For me, there was no better way to celebrate than by leaving a lasting mark on the hearts of our future”.
