The Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has held a meeting with key stakeholders involved in the establishment of the Women’s Development Bank.
The entities included, reps from the Bank of Ghana, the Ministry of Finance, market queens, a microfinance and susu operator, and committee members from the Vice President’s Office.
The discussions offered valuable insight into the unique financial needs of the women who often operate outside the margins of formal economic systems. These women, though frequently overlooked, play a vital role in the economic fabric of our nation.
”This engagement reaffirmed the urgency of designing a system that responds meaningfully to their realities”, Prof Naana Jane wrote in a post.
”We remain on course and committed to building a bank that truly empowers women and strengthens our economy from the ground up”, she noted.
