Two exhibitions showcasing the work of Japanese artist Yoko Ono are set to open in Berlin on Friday.
The 92-year-old multimedia artist has gained legions of fans across the world for her experimental installations, objects and films.
Ono is the widow of John Lennon from the Beatles. The couple married in 1969 and were widely known for their peace activism, music and art before Lennon was assassinated in New York in 1980.
An exhibition titled “Yoko Ono: Music of the Mind” is to open at the Gropius Bau museum in central Berlin, having previously been shown at London’s Tate Modern and in the western German city of Dusseldorf.
The collection brings together more than 200 pieces of Ono’s work.
Another exhibition, “Yoko Ono: Dream Together,” is also due to welcome visitors from Friday at the Neue Nationalgalerie in the German capital.
