The Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) will organise a one-day validation workshop on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the Palm Garden Resort, Kaase-Kumasi, to review and validate the proposed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the 2026 Local Government Service (LGS) Performance Contract for the Regional Coordinating Councils (RCCs).
The workshop will bring together the Regional Ministers and Chief Directors/Regional Coordinating Directors. Following the validation exercise, the parties will officially sign and subsequently execute the Performance Contract.
This exercise is in line with the mandate of the Local Government Service to ensure effective administration and management of Ghana’s decentralised local government system through the implementation of a comprehensive Performance Management System anchored in Service Delivery Standards.
Overall, the event is expected to strengthen performance management, promote accountability, and enhance service delivery across the local government system.
