The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene has received a delegation from the United Nations Security & Safety Department (UNSSD) to discuss critical security concerns in the region and the country at large.
He gave the assurance that ”the security agencies are fully prepared and committed to combating crime in all its forms”.
On the issue of the Odumase Dynamite Explosion, the Regional Minister disclosed that an arrest has been made, and investigations are actively ongoing to ensure justice and prevent future occurrences.
Additionally, the rise in attacks on Mobile Money vendors has become a worrying trend.
In response he said ”security agencies on high alert to swiftly investigate these incidents and enhance security in critical areas to protect lives and livelihoods”.
Dr. Amoakohene urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing any relevant information that could help in investigations.
”Together, we can build a safer and more secure society for all”, he reiterated.
