Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyeman has reaffirmed government’s commitment to ending menstrual stigma and improving access to girls’ education through the newly launched Free Sanitary Pads Programme.
Speaking on behalf of the Vice President, former Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Betty Mould-Iddrisu, emphasized that government through sustained partnerships, strategic investments, and open cultural dialogue is working to make Ghana a truly Period-Friendly nation.
She disclosed this at a special documentary screening in commemoration of Menstrual Hygiene Day 2025 held at the British High Commissioner’s Residence in Accra
