On Tuesday, 3rd June, 2025, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, led an impressive delegation of Chiefs and noblemen from Asanteman to pay a courtesy call on Former President Nana Akufo Addo at his residence in Nima, Accra.
Quite a beautiful moment as Former President Akufo Addo extended his deepest appreciation for his guidance and support throughout his presidency..
”…..when i was at the helm of this country, key amongst which was his contribution, as Chairman of the Committee of Eminent Chiefs, which included the Yagbonwura and the Nayiri, towards the peace in Dagbon”, the former president noted.
Nana Akufo Addo spoke about their long standing relationship. Interestingly the former President at apoint served as an Attorney to the Asantehene.
”The Otumfuo and I have charted a trajectory of longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation from our formative periods, and such ties have grown even more stronger with the passage of time”, he said.
”As always, I wish him and Asanteman well in all endeavors”. Nana Akufo Addo expressed.
