Before her departure from Post in Accra, Ghana, US Ambassador Virginia Palmer and Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa met to discuss a wide range of issues regarding Ghana US relations.

Ambassador Palmer said Ghana stands at a threshold of great benefits form the 2026 World Cup to be hosted by the United States of America.
”Being a globally renowned football-loving country, I initiated discussions on how Ghanaians could benefit from a special dispensation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup which the US is the main host.”.
