The newly elected Executive Presbytery Officers of Assemblies of God, Ghana, led by the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam, have paid a courtesy call on H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, at his residence.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the newly elected leaders to the President and express appreciation for his attendance at the recently concluded 32nd Biennial General Council Meeting of Assemblies of God, Ghana, where he served as Special Guest of Honour. The meeting was held from 18th to 22nd August 2026 at the Pentecost Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh.

Bempah, Assistant General Superintendent-elect; Rev. Albert Anane, General Secretary-elect; and Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, wife of the General Superintendent and National President of the Ministers’ Wives Association.
Also on the delegation were Rev. (Rtd.) Ernest Agyei, Special Aide to the General Superintendent, and Hon. Fuseini Donkor, Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority and Chairman of the Board of Teen Challenge of Assemblies of God, Ghana.
Introducing the newly elected officers, Rev. Wengam expressed appreciation to President Mahama for his loyal membership of the Church and for the support he and the First Lady continue to extend to Assemblies of God, Ghana. He assured the President of the Church’s continued prayers and support for the First Family and the government.
President Mahama congratulated the newly elected leaders and commended Rev. Wengam for what he described as visionary and bold leadership, which contributed to his overwhelming endorsement for a second term as General Superintendent.
He further noted that Assemblies of God, Ghana, had experienced significant growth since Rev. Wengam assumed office and expressed his best wishes to the new leadership team as they take up their respective responsibilities.
