The 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for School Candidates begins today with Oral English. The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says it has so far received adequate funds from the government for the examination, and has since dispatched all the depot keepers, including materials, to their respective center.
In all, 65 subjects will be taken by candidates, with each candidate writing eight subjects on average. Four hundred and sixty-one thousand,640 candidates across the country are expected to sit for the examination.
The number comprising 207,381 males and 254,259 females. The examination will be conducted in 701 examination centres across the country.
