Minister of Defense, Omane Boamah on sustainable food supply to Armed Forces

Minister of Defense, Dr. Omane Boamah has held a crucial meeting to deliberate on sustainable food supply for the Ghana Armed Forces.
He stated that ”Soldiers Cannot March on Empty Stomach”.
He also revealed in a face book post that, ”the Akufo-Addo Bawumia government did not prioritize food provision for the Ghana Armed Forces”.
”Yet, we all know soldiers don’t march on empty stomach, ” Huge food supply debt!”, the Minister wrote.
He went further to detail that, ”From August 2023 up to December 2024 the previous government’s accrued debt to food suppliers is about Ghc270 million”.
Dr. Omane Boamah said the finance minister Ato Forson promised to be pay current bills as we work towards settling the arrears of over Ghc270 million left behind by the NPP government.
”We are determined to provide short term and medium-term solutions to this avoidable food supply problem, he posited.
The Minister announced that the journey of food supply solutions would commence next week.
