Vice-President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has officially launched the Heritage Village initiative by Goldbod Jewellery, a strategic platform championing locally crafted gold jewellery and advancing Ghana’s value-added industrial agenda.

Led by Gertrude Emefa Donkor, the initiative underscores a critical national priority transitioning from raw gold exports to the production of refined, high-value products, while empowering artisans and strengthening Ghana’s creative economy.
Timed to coincide with Ghana Month, the three-day event positions gold not only as a natural resource but as a symbol of national pride, innovation, and economic transformation. The Vice President commended the organizers for contributing meaningfully to the national discourse on industrialisation and enterprise development, particularly in nurturing globally competitive local businesses.
She emphasised that Ghana’s future growth lies in its capacity to create, innovate, and build resilient industries, expressing confidence that Heritage Village will continue to inspire excellence, support artisans, and drive sustainable economic progress.
