Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology Students meet with Ghana’s Vice President Prof. Opoku Agyemang

Some students from the Harvard Kennedy School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US have held discussions with the Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, in Accra. They discussed Ghana’s stable political climate, which has attracted growing international interest.

The students commended the country’s commitment to sustaining good governance and peaceful transitions of power. The visit also reinforced the strong ties between Ghana and international academic institutions, fostering dialogue on leadership and governance.

The Vice President acknowledged the challenges of governance and stressed the need for collective efforts in building a shared national vision. She called on political stakeholders to focus on the positive contributions of all parties, fostering national unity and development.

She further emphasized her commitment to improving the well-being of Ghanaians, particularly marginalized groups.

The students who are on an exchange programme shared their perspectives on democracy and governance.
