Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has indefinitely deferred the resumption of Parliament for its Third Meeting for the first session.

The Speaker, Alban Bagbin in a release on September 29 summoned the house to convene next week Tuesday October 14 after a two-and-a-half-month recess.

However, a new release under his signature today said the recall has been deferred until further notice. Meanwhile, the Executive Director of the African Centre for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA), Dr. Rashid Draman, says the indefinite deferment of the resumption of Parliament for its Third Meeting for the first session, may present some difficult times. In an interview, Mr. Draman stated that the session is one of the most important sittings of the House, as it considers budget and economic policy ahead of the Christmas festivities.
