The Parliament of Ghana is set to host the ninth Biennial Conference of the African Parliamentarians Against Corruption (APNAC) from Thursday, November 6, to Sunday, November 9, at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.

The conference on the theme: “Strengthening Accountability for Sustainable Development in Africa,” aims to bring together parliamentarians, anti-corruption experts, and stakeholders to share best practices and deliberate on effective strategies to combat corruption.

“We invite the media and the public to follow the conference proceedings and support this important initiative toward a corruption-free Africa,” a statement signed by Mr David Sebastian Damoah, Director, Media Relations, Parliament, and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Thursday said.

It said the conference would feature a keynote address by Mr Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament, and will focus on policy reforms, institutional strengthening, and multi-sectoral partnerships to promote transparency and accountability.

“This event underscores Ghana’s commitment to advancing integrity and ethical governance, both nationally and across Africa,” the statement noted.
