In a beautiful moment of Royalty, Pome and Pageantry, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Zita Benson has presented Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Charles III, King of England at the St James Palace.
The event which took place on Wednesday Jan 28, 2025 formally marks the official assuming of office of HE Zita Benson as Ghana’s High Commissioner to the Court of James.

She is the first High Commissioner to be received at the St James Palace in over a century. The last one at the St James Palace  happened under the reign of King Edward VII in 1910
Madam Benson said, ”I am profoundly honoured to be the first woman appointed to this role and deeply grateful to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for the confidence and opportunity to serve our beloved nation”.
