One incredible and most remarkable person and face of New Media in Ghana, Ameyaw Debrah has marked 20years of working within the new media landscape.
”This year marks 20 years of my journey in Ghana’s media and entertainment space, and what a ride it has been!”, he wrote.
He chronicles that this incredible journey started from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi.
”It all began when I won Best Publishing Student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2005. The award, sponsored by @ovationmediagroup, opened my very first professional door. As part of the package, I completed my National Service as a reporter and writer with Ovation International Magazine, and later with Star Newspaper”.
From there, the path kept unfolding. and he went on to contribute to several pan-African online publications, served as Ghana Lead for AfricaNews.com (Voices of Africa), worked as Content Editor at @theghanaweb, Project Lead at @pulseghana, Country Manager at @yencomghnews, and Honorary Editor-in-Chief at @scooper_gh.
However, Mr. Debrah touts his greatest achievement as the onboarding of his own news portal on lifestyle and entertainment and other things followed.
”Through it all, my proudest achievement remains the creation of www.AmeyawDebrah.com, one of the most successful and respected platforms for celebrity news and lifestyle content in Ghana. I’m already looking forward to celebrating 20 years of AmeyawDebrah.com as well”, according to Debrah.
The platform became a home for entertainment news and a launchpad for both emerging and established talents across music, film, fashion, and the arts, giving them space to tell their stories and showcase their craft.
He expressed gratitude to all who have supported his work over the years, and expressed optimism about the future.
