Celebrating Jamhuri Day with President William Samoei Ruto and Kenya is a testament to our bond of brotherhood.
President Mahama was in Kenya to celebrate their Independence Day with President Ruto.
The people of Ghana stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Kenya.

President Mahama paid tribute to the memory of our forebears who fought valiantly for our freedom, ”and we do not take their sacrifices for granted”, he noted.
He said, ”the friendship between our independence leaders remains an enduring flame that continues to bind our two nations together in a spirit of Pan-African unity”.
Africa faces many challenges, including a global order that remains rigged against us. It is time for us to add value to our exports and secure a fairer share of our natural resource endowments.

”But most importantly, this is the time for us to provide transparent, accountable leadership to our people and to unleash the creativity and energy of our young people, the President posited.

Kenya remains a respected member of the African Union and other international bodies, and Ghana wishes you continued success.
