Ghana champions Visa-free Africa for Africans by 2030
Ghana is championing a Visa-free Africa for Africans by 2030, in a move that toured African Countries, led by Raz Mubarak, for MP.
The engagements were concluded in what has been described as impactful engagements in Côte d’Ivoire with a series of high-level meetings that underscored the urgency of Africa’s integration agenda.
At the African Development Bank Group (AfDB),  Mr. Mubarak said he had the privilege of receiving a copy of the landmark 2025 Africa Visa Openness Index report directly from Dr. Joy Kategekwa, Director of the Bank’s Regional Integration Coordination Office.

Regional integration lies at the heart of the AfDB’s mission, and discussions focused on insights gained from our extensive travels across Africa’s roads—along with practical steps to accelerate the free movement of people and goods continent-wide.
The team earlier, were graciously received on behalf of President Alassane Ouattara by Ambassador Evariste Koffi Yapi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and African Integration.
The exchange with Dr. Ladislas Nze Bekale, Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, was also held.
Africa’s future depends on deeper unity among our nations—and the moment to act has never been more pressing.
After journeying through 31 African countries in just under 160 days, Mr. Mubarak said , the message rings clearer than ever: ”Africa must unite now. True unity begins with dismantling barriers to allow the seamless flow of people and goods”.
”We are calling for a visa-free Africa for Africans by 2030. The time is now. Let’s make it happen”.
He expressed gratitude to H. E. Brigadier General Alhassan Abu, Ambassador, and staff of the Ghana Embassy in Abidjan.
