Exploring collaborations between Ghana and US highlighting W. E. B. Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture

University of Ghana’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo recently hosted Dr. Preston King, a former Lecturer of the University of Ghana, along with representatives from the W.E.B. Du Bois Foundation and Emory University, USA. 
The interactions at the meeting were on exploring academic collaborations with a particular focus on strengthening the W. E. B. Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture and promoting academic exchanges.
Executive Director of the Foundation, Mr. Japhet Aryiku shared initiatives on the promotion of the ideals of W.E.B. Du Bois in Sociology and History. He further disclosed plans to support the Department of Sociology with resources, including books.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Amfo welcomed the delegation to the University and noted that this partnership would provide both local and international students with an academic environment, rooted in Du Bois’ legacy.
