Ghanaian gospel sensation Empress Gifty Adorye has been crowned Artiste of the Year at the 6th edition of the Ghana Music Awards USA, cementing her status as one of the most influential figures in contemporary gospel music.
The highly anticipated event, held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at ACX1 Studios in Atlantic City, New Jersey, brought together some of Ghana’s biggest musical talents and stakeholders in the diaspora. Empress Gifty’s remarkable win was celebrated as a historic moment for gospel musicians, as she triumphed over a competitive field of mainstream artistes to grab the topmost prize.

In her acceptance speech, the award-winning singer expressed profound gratitude to God, her family, fans, and management team for their continuous support.
“This award means so much to me because it shows that gospel music has no limits. I dedicate this to every Ghanaian in the diaspora and back home who continues to believe in my ministry,” she said to thunderous applause.
