Dr. Omane Boamah opens Africa Land Forces Security Summit

The Minister of Defense, Dr. Omane Buamah has on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama opened the 2025 Africa Land Forces (Security) Summit at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, few hours after the Ceremonial Change of Guard at the Jubilee House.
The Summit described as ” mutually beneficial Security Summit”, brought together Army Chiefs from 50 countries (40 from Africa) to deliberate on contemporary security challenges relating to cyberspace, violent extremism, and terrorism among others.
Dr. Omane Boamah said he believes information sharing, counterintelligence, counter-terrorism measures are critical ingredients for global peace and security.
Hence, ”this approach enhances defense capabilities and operational efficiency of Armed Forces and allied institutions”.
The occasion was graced by the US Ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Evelyn Palmer.
Dr. Omane Boamah expressed appreciation to the US Government, ”we appreciate the US Government’s immense support for the Summit”.

Service Chiefs of the Ghana Armed Forces,
